SUN-DAY SCHOOL CLASS: NOBODY WINS WHEN THE FAMILY FEUDS by e.graham

With 16-time Grammy award-winning gospel musician and songwriter, Kirk Franklin's profanity-laced tirade being leaked to the internet by his 32-year old son, "Black" YouTube viewers, Facebook followers and the "Black" Christians are, now. debating parenting styles along with proper father and son relationships.

Despite all this attention and TOXICITY, seemingly, surrounding this so-called "Royal Christian Family",.... "there is nothing new under the sun, according to Ecclesiastes 1:9.

Besides, remember, (Luke 12:51-53,) which Christ stated:

"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather DIVISION:.. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

"The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father;...."

For, just read the Book of 2 Samuel, to learn about the TRANSGRESSION of the biblical character David, an accomplished musician and (2 Sam 23:1) "sweet composer of Israel" ( 2 Sam 11:1-27), that involved: adultery, murder, and what some suggest is "pornography" as well as the TROUBLE & TURMOIL occurring in his house and family, which included RAPE, INCEST, MURDER, & BETRAYAL, to name a few.

In learning about the turbulence surrounding David and his family, we, all, should analyze the FAMILY FEUDS occurring or re-occurring in our own household, which has family members "FALLING OUT," fussing, cussing, and fighting on FaceBook, family reunions, and on a daily bases and utilize it as a teaching tool to build better relationships with our sons, whom, we may have "given up on" due to HIS last criminal charge or our daughter, whom, we may have stopped talking to, due to our last heated argument. For, according to (1 Tim 3:4-6)

"An overseer must manage his own household well and keep his children under control, with complete dignity. For if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how can he care for the church of God? He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same condemnation as the devil.…

With that stated, despite, some, especially, "in the Black Christian Church, "whether it's Steve Harvey or Rick Smiley, who may believe, Kirk Franklin, who almost looks unrecognizable due to PLASTIC SURGERY is "TOO GOOD" to be corrected. Remember it was "Christ, himself, who said "Why callest thou me GOOD? there is none GOOD but one, that is, God.”

However, don't get it twisted, because I'm not taking sides in this war between father and son. For, the Book of Proverbs makes it clear that, even though children are a blessing, they tend toward evil if left to their own nature (Pro:22:15.) So, parents are urged to discipline their youngsters, because neglecting to do so amounts to condemning a child to death. (Pro:19:18.)

Plus, a child, who is abusive to his parents shames them and violates God commandments "to honor your father and mother" (Ex20:12, Deut 5:16) because whoever curses his father and mother, his lamp will be put out in DARKNESS.

Obviously, from the "outside looking in" one can see Franklin's son is dealing with some dark issues plaguing his heart-that possibly can be revealed through more therapy, Christian counseling, and pastoral intervention, which (Proverbs 20:27) suggest "The Spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depth of his heart.

Plus, the gospel-winning singer's son must show better self-control by not becoming "a talebearer revealing secrets"(Prov:11:3) for alleged "Facebook Fame, while Clout Chasing for Cash with all these bloggers on-line. Because a faithful spirit conceals the matter. Therefore, ....set plans by consultation, and wage war under sound guidance. For, he who reveals secrets is a constant gossip; avoid the one who babbles with his lips. (Prov 20:18-19)

So, as this story continues to circulate throughout the Internet, we hope like the Parable of the Prodigal Son also known as the parable  of The Lost Son, Loving Father, or of the Forgiving Father) appearing in Luke 15:11–32, Kerrion, who(Col: 3:21) provoked him to anger" will forgive him and return back to his father.
