BOBBEE BEE'S FIVE PERSONALITIES

Most children fall into five basic personality types that stem from inborn physical characteristic: the sensitive child, the self-absored child, the defiant child, the inattentive child, and the active/aggression child.
THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE CHILD

A highly sensitive child is often bright, articulate, creative, and insightful, easily able to tune into other people and their feelings. He/She may display a deep sense of empathy and compassion for other people. Perhaps he/she is a budding artist, a future novelist. And yet, he is also clingy and whiny, sometimes bossy and demanding. He throws long tantrums over seemingly minor issues. He shrieks furiously when you leave him with a babysitter, even one he knows well, grabbing desperately at your legs as you leave
THE DEFIANT CHILD

Stubborn, Negative, Controlling...He can mange to turn even the simplest activity into a trial. His first reaction to virtually anything is negative. "I don't want to!" "I don't care!" "Do I have to?" He deals with his world in a bossy way. In the 1940s, Rene Spitz, a pioneering observer of young children, suggested that a child's first "no" is attempt to define himself-a way of establishing a boundary between himself and the rest of the world. Alongside stubbornness and negativism, the defiant child has enormous energy and persistance. Many defiant children are unusually clever, figuring out ways to defeat your most sophisticated arguments.

THE INATTENTIVE CHILD
The Inattentive Child seems to flit through life, never landing in one place for long. He parents complain that she is "spacey." He forgets to tie his shoes, bring home her homework, pick up his toys. His teachers say he doesn't pay attention in school. They point out that he doesn't follow instructions or concentrate. He may make one or two scribbles on his schoolwork and then giggle and whisper with other children. At home, he wanders around, perpetually touching and picking up things. At the dinner table, he can't sit still-he bangs his knife against his plate, eats one bite, and is off. He constantly on the go, running around pushing other kids, throwing toys. He may be absent minded; you ask him why he forgot to bring his homework home for the fifth day in a row, and he says, "I was going to. I had the book in my hand. But I put it down to look at this cool game that Bobbee Bee brought in and..." An inattentive child may have trouble finding the words to describe things. Asked about her days, he shrugs. "It was fine. I guess, she says finally. She constantly changes the subject when she talks. It's difficult to have a conversation with her because he skips from one topic to another.

THE ACTIVE/AGGRESSIVE CHILD
The impulsive, aggressive child is constantly on the go. He runs instead of walks, acts instead of talks. These boys and girls jump headlong into new experiences-diving in first and looking later. If they learn to use their considerable energy in constructive ways, they can be energetic, creative, enthusiastiv, charismatic-they may become athletes, piolts, soldiers, business entrepreneurs, or politicans, perhaps. At school, such a youngster could be the class rabble-rouser, throwing his pencils and books around and enticing all the other children to yell and scream, particularly when the teacher wants everyone to sit down. But he is also easily frustrated and angered and might resort to hitting, punching, and pinching to get what he wants or to express anger.

THE SELF-ABSORED CHILD

The self-absored child seems to be content to amuse himself. He has a great imagination. They seem to prefer their imaginary world "make believe" to reality. They play by themselves for hours on end. When they are a little older, they become Nintendo or computer game experts and play electronic or computer games endlessly. Over time, the self-absored child might develop a negative sense of identity. "I am an unlikable person," he may conclude. "I am easily ignored or avoided. There's no point trying to talk to other people." "Nobody cares.

BOBBEE BEE: JABARI PARKER: BLACK AND MORMON

NORTH CAROLINA (BASN)--Black and Mormon, now that's an oxymoron.

Shockingly, however, the number one recruit in high school basketball, who some consider the "next Lebron James," is a 6'9 practicing Mormon named Jabari Parker from Chicago, Illinois.

How a Black person could be a Mormon in 2012 is simply idiotic, especially with the churches racist past?

Without question, Parker, who is of Tongan and African American descent, has definitely been "brainwashed” to believe that "THE WHITE JESUS CHRIST" visited North America" and that Joseph Smith is some type of divine prophet.

This is classic example of why Black people, according to religious scholars, are considered to be likening to sheep, because they historically continued to follow anybody and worship anything, just like Jabri Parker, who was highly influenced by his mother, Lola Parker.

What most Black people and the Parkers fail to realize, however, is that White Supremacy is the religion worshipped throughout the world, regardless if it comes in the form of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Mormonism or Scientology?

Hopefully, Jabari, who was named the 2011-12 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball of Illinois, will learn this as he continues to impress college scouts from around the nation at Simeon Career Academy during his senior season.

BASKETBALL AND MORMONISM

With that said, one has to wonder what kind of impact Jabari's Mormonism will have on his basketball career and on his college recruitment process, is yet to be determined.

Currently, he is being recruited by Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, and North Carolina. But many people wonder whether he will sidestep an opportunity to attend one of these collegiate powerhouses in order to attend BYU or Utah instead.
Regardless of what college Parker attends, several scouts believe he will be going to the NBA after his freshman season.
Unfortunately, due to his Mormonism, Parker will be "encouraged but not required" to embark on a two-year missionary tour, where he has to push "this poisonous religious like crack" to some gullible part of the world.

During this two-year tour, Parker, who won't be able to work or play basketball, will be dressed in a standard white shirt, tie and khakis, while carrying a Book of Mormon and trying to convince people that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, instead of working on his basketball skills.

This, in effect, could hurt his status and stock in the NBA Draft as well as his career in the NBA.

Personally, I feel Parker won't participate in this Mormon mission to spread the "so-called gospel" just as other well known successful Mormon athletes didn't: like the 2011 college basketball player of the Year at BYU and the 10th pick in 2011 NBA Draft Jimmer Fredette, NBA champion Danny Ainge (Boston Celtics) and three-time Super Bowl champion Steve Young (49ers).

THE MORMON DOCTRINE

With Parker being the "new black-face of Mormonism" let's take a closer a look at what the so-called prophet Joseph Smith said about Black people:

"The negro is an unfortunate man. and he has been given black skin.....not only was Cain called to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race. A curse was placed upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do so while time endures.... they have been made to feel their inferiority and have been separated from the rest of mankind from the beginning.”

I wonder if Jabari Parker, who is a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is aware of this White Supremacist doctrine as he dribbles his basketball up the court as a high school senior, while confessing his devotion to the "false prophet" Joseph Smith.

Hopefully, he will put down the Book of the Latter Day Saints and pick up The Black Man of the Nile by Dr. Yosef ben-Jochannan, Nile Valley Civilization by Anthony Browder and Sex and Race by J.A.Rogers during his sojourner in life.

Yes, according to the Mormons, Black people are cursed with the mark of blackness and are descendents from Cain. It's the same old, white, racist rhetoric that infects the white churches in America as well as in the "so-called" Jewish synagogues in Israel that claimed Black people were the cursed seed of HAM. Recently, there was evidence of this racist theology in Israel’s xenophobic attacks against African migrants, which has not been denounced by the United States.

Could this be the only reason Mitt Romney has been given a pass, or an endorsement by some of the "so-called" conservative Christian Right during his run for presidency, even though, most of them consider Mormonism to be a cult.
JABARI, ROMNEY and MORMONISM

Speaking of Mitt Romney, who could be the nation's first Mormon president, why hasn't anyone asked him what the Mormon Church really believes in, besides the late- Tim Russert on Meet the Press.

Unfortunately, most Black people don't really care what Romney believes as long as he is not a Muslim and doesn't listen to Pastor Jeremiah Wright. Besides, I am still looking for Fox News' Sean Hannity to do an investigative report on the alleged cult. Plus, I am still waiting for Rush Limbaugh to ridicule this "so-called Mormon religion."

That's why, somebody has to inform the young and naive, potential NBA superstar, Jabari Parker that the Mormon Church considers him to a part of an inferior race of people before he becomes further indoctrinated with this foolishness.

Yeah, I know they claimed to have had a change of heart in 1978.

But according to the "so-called" Apostle N. Eldon Tanner during a interview with the Seattle Magazine in 1964, "the church has no intention of changing its doctrine on the Negro.Throughout the history of the original Christian church, the Negro never held the priesthood. There's really nothing we can do to change this. It's a law of God."

With that said, hopefully, Jabari Parker will throw the Book of Mormon in the trash, denounce the false faith, while "washing his brain" from all of the "white lies" and "white" propaganda promoted by Brigham Young, Joseph Smith, and the "white Jesus", who came to North America spreading it.

BOBBEE BEE: PREVENTING SCHOOL VIOLENCE

We have witnessed a disturbing trend in violence and threats of violence in our nation’s schools. The causes behind each of these incidents are unique and complex, and there are clearly no simple answers or magical solutions. However, there are some common sense steps that schools, communities and families can take to help keep our children safe and reduce the risk of future tragedies.

Such steps include:

1.Identity kids with problems.
Most kids who behave violently in school have a long history of emotional and behavioral problems. In many cases, signs and symptoms of trouble have existed for years. We know a lot about the early warning signs and situational risk factors which can lead to violent behavior. They include: intense anger, suicidal thoughts and actions, impulsiveness, history of abuse or neglect, drug or alcohol abuse, fire-setting, preoccupation with violent or morbid themes or fantasies, bullying, stealing, social isolation, excessive interest in weapons or explosiveness, family problems, depression, recent loss, disappointment, low self-esteem

2.Reduce class sizes.

In large class, it’s harder for the teacher to really know and monitor kids as closely. Smaller classes allow more contact between the teacher and each child. As a result, kids with significant problems are more likely to be identified early.
3.Reduce access to guns.

We have to get much more serious about limiting the overall access kids have to guns. This includes age limits on the purchase of guns and ammunition, mandatory triggers locks, increased penalties for illegal sales.

4. Promote tolerance and teach conflict resolution.
Starting at an early age, schools need to help kids value each other’s differences. We also need to teach kids how to resolve conflict without violent or aggressive behavior. Such programs should be implemented in the earliest grades and reinforced throughout school.

5.Eliminate bullying. Children should be to go to school without fear of harassment. Bullying creates lifelong problems with self-esteem, and it interferes with learning and school performance. It can also lead to depression and, occasionally, aggressive behavior or violent retaliation.
6. Provide access to mental health care.
We need to do whatever we can to remove barriers to accessing appropriate mental health care. Receiving services in a school-based health center may be easier than going to a private office or a community clinic.
7. Improve awareness and communication.
We need to educate kids about the sign and symptoms of mental illness, and encourage them to seek help when needed. We also need to teach our kids to tell us when their friends need help. As we’ve learned, most kids will tell someone before attempting suicide or engaging in violent or dangerous behavior. When kids hear such boasts, threats, or warnings, they need to tell a responsible adult. They should not be put in the position of deciding whether the threat is “serious” or not.

8.Develop peer support programs.
Kids benefit from the opportunity to spend time in a group talking in a preventive manner with other kids about their thoughts, feelings and frustrations. Many kids feel isolated and that they are the only ones with problems. Peer support groups provide an opportunity for kids to learn that others are dealing with similar issues and experiences. Such groups can also serve as another early warning system for identifying kids who are particularly vulnerable, fragile, or troubled.
9. Expand access to drug and alcohol treatment.
We need to intensify our efforts to address the problem of child and adolescent drugs and alcohol abuse. We need to identify kids with problems as early as possible, and make sure they get the help they need. We also need to expand our drug education efforts in the early grades, and strictly enforce laws concerning the purchase or possession of alcohol by minors.10. Enhance parent and community involvement

Some people may say that the job of a school system is to teach kids, not to deal with “social issues.” But our schools are not and cannot be isolated from the social issues which face children in today’s world. We will do better if the schools confront and address their issues head on and help kids figure out how to deal with real life problems. In addition, we need to broaden our definition of education. We need to educate kids for life, not just for test taking, college admissions or future employment. We need to teach them social skills and help them learn how to cope with success and failure, frustration, and disappointment. By doing so, our educational efforts will ultimately be more successful.

Individually, none of the above suggestions will solve the problem of school violence. But collectively, they would represent a significant shift in the philosophy and orientation of our educational system. Our schools are full of troubled kids. By working together, parents, teachers, and communities can develop effective strategies to identify kids who need help, and intervene as early as possible. Such an approach would ultimately lead to safer schools and a better educational experience for our children.

BOBBEE BEE: WHAT CAUSES DEPRESSION?

Usually, there is not one single cause for depression. Instead, depression is most often caused by a combination of risk factors that occur at the same time. What are some of these risk factors?
1. Stressful Events
Stress Events occurring in your life can contribute to depression. For example, changing schools, moving to a different city, going from middle school to high school, or getting a new job are all changes in your life which can cause stress. Historically, can you "Imagine" the stress the first African-American students felt entering the Little Rock High School in Arkansas in 1957 in order to end school segregation.
2. Losing an important person in your life can lead to sadness.
Here are some examples: Unfortunately, some kids lose a parent to death. Sometimes, when parents divorce, the children may not see one parent very often. Breaking up with a girlfriend or boyfriend can be very discouraging . Losing touch with a close friend can leave a person feeling lonely. Historically, can you "IMAGINE" sitting with Coretta Scott King at the funeral of her husband Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
3.Traumatic events can leave people feeling helpless and victimized.
Often, the victim feels angry and unsafe. Examples of traumatic events include unexpected accidents like car wrecks or being the victim of assault, or being the victim of abuse. IMAGINE that you were Lisa "Left Eye Lopez" (RIP) of the singing group TLC after they went bankrupt after selling a millions of records. The VH-1 documentary entitled "Last Days of Left Eye" is an excellent educational tool for therapists and counselors.
4. Family Conflict such as tension, arguments, upset feelings, and misunderstandings can also contribute to depression.
Parents and teenagers may be angry with each other and everybody feels bad. Family members may have a hard time understanding each other. They may not know how to talk to each other so they end up shouting or avoiding each other. This leads to stress and resentment which may lead to depression. Can you "IMAGINE" how Anne Nicole Smith must have felt after losing her son? Can you "IMAGINE" how her family must have felt knowing she was on drugs?
5. Drug or alcohol abuse can cause depression.
Drugs and alcohol alter the brain's chemistry. They can also cause trouble with family and friends resulting in more agruments, more stress, and a loss of important support from the people that care about you the most. Can you"IMAGINE" how Whitney Houston must feel?
6. A lack of healthy coping skills can put a person at risk for depression.
All of us have to cope with stress in our lives. Some people have more stress than other people. It is important for each of us to learn how to cope with stress. You may not believe this, but having healthy habitss, like eating a good diet, having a regular sleep schedule, and getting regular exercise can go along way toward reducing stress. In addition to healthy habits, we all have characteristic ways of coping with stressful situations. Some coping skills are more effective than others. For example, some people clam up when they are upset. Or sometimes teenagers act out their feelings by getting into arguments, or doing things to make their parents angry. It is generally better to talk openly and calmly about your feelings.
All of the above risk factors can contribute to depression. One way to decrease these risk factors and overcome depression is to improve relationships. As you can see, problems with family members, friends, or teachers make depression worse. Also, when a person gets depressed, he or she may feel hopeless, irritable, tired and unhappy. This can result in more arguments and tendency to withdraw from people. This pushes people away at a time when you need lots of support and understanding. For this reason, a good way to overcome depression is to work on improving relationships. You can do this by improving understanding, communication, and learning how to get the support you need.

BOBBEE BEE: DARK NIGHT FOR THE DARK KNIGHT (CONSPIRACY THEORY)

by Eric D.Graham

Ripped right out of the pages of the comic books, Echoes of Evil, separated by 13 years and only 14 miles from Columbine, where Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold gunned down 13 people, reign terror again in Colorado at the Century 16 movie theater during the highly anticipated midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises in Aurora.
It was an eerie scene as the evil doer seemingly "leaped off" the movie screen in to the audience, wearing all black, a gas mask, and a bullet proof vest.

Along with his head to toe body armor, the gunman carried a 12-gauge Remington shot gun, AR-15 assault rifle, and two Glock hand guns, which he fired randomly into a crowd of shocked moviegoers.

When the smoke cleared and the gunshots stopped exploding, the lone gunmen, James Holmes, a white male from San Diego, California, had killed 12 people, while wounding 58 others, which included men, women and children, before surrendering to authorities.

Upon being arrested, Holmes revealed that there were booby traps, trip wires and bombs planted throughout his apartment as the theater he fled from was filled with blood, dead bodies and unanswered cell phones.

LIFE IMITATING ART

For those familiar with the cape crusader, there was a graphic novel in 1986 written by Frank Miller, the creative mind behind Sin City and 300, entitled The Dark Knight Returns, where a "mad-man" named Arnold Crimp opened fire in a pornographic theatre after listening to Led Zeppelin’s classic track 'Stairway to Heaven." Sadly, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
Because, the parallel between Holmes midnight massacre and this comic book issue is chilling.

Even more chilling than that, is a recent rap video by rapper Lil Wayne, which features skeletons sitting in a movie theater. Plus, the new movie preview of Gangster Squad, which shows a group of bad guys firing machine guns into a crowded theater.

MASSAGES IN THE MOVIE

With a nation desperately trying make sense of this blood bath, many of the hidden answers "could be" located in the comic book conversations and movie dialogue featured in the previous Dark Knight movie starring Heath Ledger.
Why? Because according to Harvey Dean aka Two-face, "the night is darkest just before dawn."With that said, isn't it ironic, that Aurora is the name of Roman goddess of the dawn? Is it a coincidence that the legend of Batman started outside of a movie theater, where Bruce Wayne saw his own parents ruthlessly murdered?
Secondly, for those comic book fanatics, it was the Joker, one of Batman many nemesises that said, “Madness is like gravity; all it needs is a little push."

Unfortunately, now psychiatrists, psychologists, political pundits, news reporters, police officers, and FBI profilers as well as "all of us" have been placed with the difficult burden of trying to figure out what pushed this potential Ph.D candidate in neuroscience to the brink of madness.
NO LAUGHING MATTER

Let's not forget, according to certain reports, with his hair dyed reddish orange, Holmes referred to himself as the "Joker", the paranoid schizophrenic, whom reign terror in the previous Dark Knight movie. And just like Heath Ledger, who played the Joker, Holmes apparently was on the same drugs, Vicodin, a prescription painkiller, which alters the mental state and produces unusual thoughts that ultimately led to the early death of the actor, before the shooting.

Therefore, is it safe to say that the thoughts of this movie character led Holmes to commit these hellish acts of terror? Let's analyze some of the Joker's dialogue and examine one of his most memorable diatribes during the film. "Look what I did to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets." proclaimed the Joker. "You know what I noticed; nobody panics when things go according to plan, even if the plans are horrifying. If tomorrow, I tell the press that... like a gangbanger will get shot, or that a truck load of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics.

Because it's all part of the plan. But when I say, one little mayor will die. Everyone loses their minds" he continued. "Introduce a little anarchy, upset the established order and everything becomes CHAOS. I am an agent of chaos. And you know the thing about chaos, its fear."

FEAR OF THE FEARFUL

With Holmes' cowardly act of terror, he, in fact, did become an agent of chaos like the Joker, while injecting a little more FEAR into a society that is already plagued with violence. Now, the general public feels, as if, there is no place safe anymore. Not even the movie theaters, where they go to escape from reality, and cheer the very violence, they abrupt. Plus, with over 80% of firearms death occurring in the United States, 1,205 shooting incidents in Chicago, which results to over 275 murders this year, the Reverend Jesse Jackson stated it best,"Until we end violence; violence will end us."

GOTHAM CITY MAYHEM

Now, with fear of a copy cat killer creeping in the psyche of the American people, the United States has sadly become Gotham City, as it desperately looks for Batman to save it from itself. Richard Kim, the executive editor of the Nation.com, brilliantly explains how the world we live-in today is shockingly similar to the one projected in the Dark Knight trilogy. "It's a failed state because the elite are corrupted and the law enforcement is corrupted... (and) the state has lost its monopoly on violence" Kim said on Melissa-Harris Perry Show on MSNBC.

"In that situation, you have vigilantes like Batman, organized crime, and terrorists. And in a failed state, it is very hard to tell what is just and unjust violence. You look at America, now, it is not to far a stretch to say in those horrific moment in Aurora we have approached a failed state when someone can buy that kind of ammunition and weapons on-line." he continued.

"No competent police force can get there and have a monopoly on violence in that moment. When you have people like George Zimmerman, due to police cuts encouraged to vigilantism. You have a failed state."

Even though Holmes' act of terrorism was heart breaking, there were several heroic acts and deeds performed by individuals like Dorell Brooks and Eric Hunter, which proved that good always prevail over evil.

With that said, all of us are responsible for reducing the levels of violence in our own communities, by becoming the very heroes, which we worship on the silver screen.
