Could former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, known as the Hip-Hop major, who held office from 2002 to 2008, be released from a low-security prison in Louisiana after being sentenced in 2013 to 28 years for corruption, racketeering conspiracy, fraud, extortion and tax crimes, which was related to shaking down contractors and rewarding his allies?

The government called the scheme the “Kilpatrick enterprise."

In a February letter to President Trump, the Ebony Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to combating mass incarceration, argued that Kilpatrick's lengthy sentence was not appropriate for his crimes.

Protests, marches and hashtags do nothing towards the eradication of racism/white supremacy. At best they force these systems to adjust and adapt. We often confuse these adaptations (i.e. diversity and appeals to identity politics) for progress, when the opposite is true. Dr. Amos Wilson said that when you see Black people rising to the highest levels of government, the bloodshed
will increase accordingly because now they have cover.

Racism/white supremacy is like a living virus and politics can only serve to mask the symptoms of the virus, but will never eradicate it. In fact, like most Western medicine, it will force the virus to adapt and become stronger and more deadly.

History says that the only way oppressive systems can be dismantled is through direct conflict.

We have seen these conditions before if we study the arc of colonialism in Africa and the diaspora, which went from brutal overt oppression to a more sophisticated and covert form of oppression. European nations eventually allowed their colonies to vote into power people who looked like the general population but still maintained total control of these nations. The more covert and sophisticated a system is, the harder it is to identify and therefore the harder it is to organize opposition to it. Most people simply seek more comfort and mobility within the system instead of eradication.

Trump represents a system of white supremacy that is very overt and crude, therefore, it’s easier to identify and organize efforts against it because we are on high alert. Obama/Biden/Harris represent the more covert and sophisticated system of white supremacy.

A group of Trump-loving nuns grabbed attention on social media Saturday after they were spotted wearing MAGA masks with their habits and cheering the president on in Circleville, Ohio.

During the Republican National Convention, another nun, Sister Deirdre Byrne, called the president the “most pro-life president ever.”

"Donald Trump is the most pro-life president that this nation has ever had, defending life at all stages. His belief in the sanctity of life transcends politics,” Byrne said.

The 19-year-old man alleged to have plotted to kill Joe Biden was the son of a prominent Jewish attorney who helped broker the first meeting between a U.S. president and the Dalai Lama.

News broke Friday about the May arrest of Alexander Hillel Treisman, a teenager who a court document says had purchased an automatic rifle and traveled to multiple states, and who allegedly had a checklist in his car whose final item read “execute.” Treisman has also been charged with three counts of child pornography, according to court documents that were obtained this week by local North Carolina station WBTV and reported on Friday in The Washington Post.

Treisman is the son of a Jewish human rights activist and one-time Senate candidate in New Mexico. Eric Treisman was known for his work with Tibetan immigrants and was once called an “Oscar Schindler for Tibetans,” an allusion to the German famous for saving more than 1000 Jews during the Holocaust. Eric Treisman died in 2009, days after finalizing his divorce from Alexander Treisman’s mother.

A close acquaintance of the family during Alexander Treisman’s childhood confirmed to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the man who was arrested was the son of Eric Treisman.

Alexander Treisman was indicted in by a federal grand jury in September on the child pornography charges, but his alleged offenses are wide-ranging and reflective of a world of online social networks in which mass shootings and abusive acts are casually discussed, joked about and glorified.

According to the court document, he posted about assassinating Biden on iFunny, a social network popular with extremists, searched Biden’s home address and stockpiled weapons and ammunition that police found in an abandoned van. The van also contained more than $500,000 in cash that the court document said was assumed to have come from his inheritance.

Treisman is also alleged to have downloaded more than 8,000 videos and images of child pornography.

The 19-year-old had allegedly been discussing committing gun violence since last year. According to the court document, he created a note in his phone in October 2019 planning a mass shooting on Black Friday or Christmas. He also downloaded images from video of the Christchurch shooting and posted on Reddit about executing people he hates.

In April, the plans allegedly became more concrete. According to the document, he posted on social media on April 8 that he was “going to do a columbine for a while, [but] I think it would better to put it towards something more memorable.”

Later, after Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Democratic primary, Treisman posted on Reddit that he had to “save bernie.” According to the court document, on April 15 he posted on iFunny, ““should I kill joe biden?” He then bought an AR-15 rifle in New Hampshire, searched Biden’s personal address in Delaware and traveled to a Wendy’s four miles away. He wrote the checklist in which the last item was “execute.”

Giuliani is interviewed by Borat's 'daughter' Tutar, posing as a conservative reporter, who then brings him to a hotel room, where he reclines on a bed and seemingly puts his hand down his pants, only to be interrupted by Cohen's Borat character.

'She's 15. She's too old for you,' Cohen screams and waves Giuliani off his 'daughter,' played by 24-year-old actress Maria Bakalova.

Giuliani pointed out, 'I was fully clothed at all times,' and explained he was merely tucking in his shirt, not doing anything untoward.

MASK-UP: MAKING "MAGA-MOVES" IN MICHIGAN

President Donald Trump kicked off his five-rally day in snowy Michigan where it was so cold he joked people should wear face masks.

'Today you should wear them anyway,' Trump said his remarks.

The president has been reluctant to wear a face covering and his campaign said supporters are free to wear them or not at events. But several people in Michigan had their face covered with either a scarf or a face mask - including many red 'MAGA' ones. The weather was 41 degrees with an even colder wind chill of 26 degrees. A replica noose on display near voting booths at a Missouri courthouse has been covered up after Democrats claimed it was intimidating to Black people.

A picture of the noose behind booths at Stone County Courthouse in Galena, 30 miles south of Springfield, was snapped by a voter who cast her ballot last week.

As the image circulated on social media, Democrats branded it 'outrageous', a 'brazen act of voter intimidation', and demanded that it be taken down 'immediately'.

Stone County Clerk Cindy Elmore said the display was put up several years ago and 'has nothing to do with the election office.'

 She said the noose is part of an historical exhibition about the hanging of white man Rosco Jackson, who was put to death in 1937 for murder.

Jackson was one of the last people to be publicly hanged in Missouri.

Megan Wilson, who snapped the picture and has lived in the county since 2017, said she was worried about the effect it could have on other voters. (Source:DM)
