CELEBRATING THE FOOL ON APRIL FOOL'S DAY-
According to mythologist Joseph Campbell, the Holy Fool or the Sacred "Clown" is the most dangerous person on earth. Why? Because, he has no concern for naysayers, and no one has power over him (or her). Plus, like the ancient court jesters of the past, he/she is the only one, who can make fun of the so-"called" king without getting killed. This can be seen today in our modern-day world. For, it is the comedian, who is "foolish" enough to tell the "truth" about those in power.
This form of comedy is known as satire, because it holds people and society up for examination and ridicules the follies within it.
Legendary political satires like Mark Twain, Dick Gregory, Jon Stewart, Steve Colbert, George Carlin, Chris Rock and even, Katt Williams have proven this. Hence, shows like Saturday Night Live along with Late Night Talk shows, which are hosted by comedians as well as cartoons like South Park, Family Guy, the Boondocks and Bobbee Bee "The Hater" oddly offer us more insight and truth into the reality of the world more than the "fake" news itself.
Let's not forget, that the Joker is the most powerful card in the deck of cards as well as Batman's #1 nemesis.
