As a result, this 'little" informative children's book has been read and performed at Kenansville Elementary School, Warsaw Elementary School, Dorothy Wightman Library (Kenansville, NC)Hodge-Road Elementary School (Knightdale, NC), E.E. Smith Middle School (Kenansville, NC), James Kenan High School (Warsaw, NC), Phillip Leff Memorial Library (Beulaville, NC) The Florence Gallier Library (Magnolia, NC) Rose Hill Library, Thelma D Bryant Library (Wallace, NC) as well as an educational tool for Life Skills Counseling, Inc. (Raleigh, NC),  which is a center developed to provide multidisciplinary programs aimed at addressing the emotional and behavioral challenges of children and teenagers.

And recently, due to all of its success,  it was made into a full length movie in 2013 entitled Bobbee Bee "The Hater" The Movie, which stars William Shakur, Xavier Graham, Nubiana Mitchell, LaDerva Hall Lisane, Rich P, Andre Walker, Jermaine Jones, Curtis Hooks, Briana Graham, Sabra Shepard, Ian Oakley, Sentifica Wilson, and Devin Oakley.

Plus a host of other budding actors and actresses.

BOBBEE BEE INVADES JOHNSTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!

Despite Tsunami-type rains, the people still came out in full force in order to see Bobbee Bee "The Hater" The Movie at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, NC on Saturday September 13.

Bobbee Bee "The Hater" The Movie, which was written and directed by Eric Graham, financed and filmed by Terrence Graham, and edited by Darius Carr, is a film, that has been described as a "psychological comedy," which takes a hilarious journey into the mind of a troubled teenager, who tries desperately to cope with his anger and self-hatred.

The thought-provoking film, to the many moviegoers in attendance, lived-up to all its hype, which surprisingly made them laugh, love, and learn as it took them on a roller coaster ride until the very end.

"This movie continues to grow in its importance.. every time it is shown, " said Eric Graham, who is a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University.

"It, in fact, is a timeless piece, which I believe, will one day be considered a cult classic..."

Not surprisingly, keeping in character, however, the star of the film, William Isiah Shakur, who played Bobbee Bee "The Hater," failed to make an appearance to his own film due to the bad whether.

Despite Shakur's no show, everyone who viewed the film admitted that he did an excellent job in his portrayal of Bobbee Bee, which was based closely own his own life experiences as a teenager.

"I am very proud of  my son..." confessed his father Terrence Graham, who currently works as an Academic Advisor at the prestigious Hampton University.


"This film couldn't have be made without his brilliant performance..."

Even though Bobbee Bee wasn't presence, another character named "Smoking Joe Black," who created a lot of buzz throughout the film, which was played by Andre Walker, tip-toed smoothly down the Red carpet with his signature well-groomed Afro and Afro-pick.

To his surprise, Walker's father, Andre Robert Lee, traveled all the way from Washington, DC in order to view his son's acting debut in the movie.

"Please support this movie...it was very entertaining and my son was outstanding as "Smoking" Joe Black." said the proud father.

" I would like to thank Terrence Graham for giving him the opportunity to shine."

With Walker's acting skills being displayed on camera along with a host of other budding young stars, Bobbee Bee "The Hater" The Movie has the potential to land up in somebody's film festival or the big screen as well as B.E.T. in the near future -the sky's the limit.

Honestly, it's simply amazing what a couple of "country boys" from Magnolia can accomplish, especially if they don't let their inflated egos get in their way.

With that said, many people will be shocked to find out that 95% of the cast and crew in the film are all from Duplin County, which is a testament of the GREATNESS that resides in this small tight-knit community.

After the film was over, the Graham brothers, asked the audience, who viewed it Saturday night at Johnston Community College to utilize social media, whether on Instagram, Twitter, or FaceBook in order to help them promote the movie.

"We utilize social media, especially Facebook, to post a lot of stupid stuff..." said Terrence, during the question-and-answer portion of the film.

"However, now, you have an opportunity to post something positive, which potentially could have a direct impact on the minds of our children."

If anyone still denies the importance of this small independent film, Scott and Tammy Pettiford Bonds, who were in attendance with their two sons, made it crystal clear that the film made an instant impact on their 16 year old son.

"Bobbee Bee The Hater is already a household name...we've already made connection to the movie last night when parenting our 16 year old. He got it!!

Stay tune for the next viewing of this film.

BOBBEE BEE: MISTER OFFICER!!!

Chuck D, of the legendary rap group, Public Enemy, once said, that Hip-Hop was the CNN of music.

Well, if this statement is true, Eric Graham, the creative mind behind the cartoon character Bobbee Bee "The Hater," which is a clever acronym that stands for H.is A.nger T.eaches E.verybody R.eality, just gave the world a sneak peak into the subconscious mind of young Black males living in America, in general, with his latest controversial song entitled Mr. Officer, which was recorded at Payroll Studio in High Point, NC by the legendary Supreme DJ Nyborn.

Especially, after the shooting death of an unarmed 17 year old teenager named Michael Brown, whose body was left in the middle of the street for at least 5 hours after he was shot down in broad daylight by a storm of bullets from the gun of officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, St. Louis.

With the tragic event becoming headline news, which led to police wearing riot gear, while displaying military-style weaponry along with armored tanks and tear gas,
Graham, who is a "journalist by day and a rapper by night," tried to capture the raw emotion, anger, and rage building up in the minds of young Black males as well as the entire Black community with his latest release, Mister Officer, which reminds many Hip-Hoppers of the 1988 protest song "F#*@ da Police" by N.W.A, which appears on the highly anticipated mix tape/slash album called Pocket Full of Ghetto Poems, that was dropped days before the independent film Bobbee Bee "The Hater" The Movie, was shown at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, NC on Saturday, which was written and directed by him and his brother Terrence Graham.

With the song currently appearing on SoundCloud-and floating around the Internet, the "part-time" rhyme spitter plans to release the video to the song on Facebook this Sunday.

Yes, these are Revolutionary Ideas that you can feel...

So, get ready!!!

Because, this small-town MC with Big City Dreams, next single called Revolutionary Suicide, which was inspired by the writings of legendary Black Panther member, Huey P. Newton, is scheduled to drop in two more weeks.

If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two -
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do.

Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored Guest,
And all the food you'd serve to Him
would be the very best,

And you would keep assuring Him
you're glad to have him there -
That serving Him in your own home is joy beyond compare.

But when you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door

With arms outstretched in welcome to your heavenly Visitor?

Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in?

Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they'd been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn't heard?
And wish you hadn't uttered that last, loud, hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?


And I wonder - if the Savior spent a day or two with you,

Would you go right on doing the things you always do?

Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?

Would your family conversation keep up it's usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?

Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books you read,
And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you'd planned to go?

  Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?

Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they'd stay away until His visit ends?

Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know the things that you would do
If Jesus Christ in person came to spend some time with you.

BOBBEE BEE: NO ICE WATER CHALLENGE FOR ME!!

The viral charity phenomenon is based on some sound psychological principles.

By now, you have likely either participated in or at least observed others take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that has swept the nation in recent days. It is amazing how popular this trend has become overnight. Who would have guessed that you could so quickly get countless people from all walks of life to publicly dump ice water over their heads to support the ALS Foundation?
But if you know a few things about psychology and theories of behavior change, this viral phenomenon makes perfect sense and, in fact, isn’t so surprising at all. For the challenge to become the phenomenon it has, a confluence of psychological principles have to come together, including these 6:

1. Make it fun.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is fun, isn’t it?

Watching people's reactions as they participate is funny and entertaining. It's simple, too—anyone can do it.

2. Give specific, time-limited instructions for behavior.

Asking people to engage in a highly particular and doable behavior—and then giving them a limited period (in this case, 24 hours) to pull it off—is effective and is very similar to classic retail strategies like the Black Friday sale on the day after Thanksgiving (and we all know how well that works).

3. Call out particular people in a public way.

Being highly specific about whom you nominate to participate in the ice bucket challenge, and then making that challenge public via social media, forces others to respond and act quickly. This avoids the diffusion of responsibility that occurs when general calls to action are made with no particular people in mind.

And asking three people to participate keeps the chain of demand going in an exponential way.

People can’t ignore the public callout and thus feel compelled to respond by participating. Asking each dunker to nominate three other people assures growth in participation even if half of all the people asked ignore the request.

4. Make the donation amount reasonable.

The suggested donation to the foundation of $100 is not overwhelming for most people who use social media and have regular Internet connection. It is significant but doable. Of course, it is a lot of money for some who may still donate less or support the campaign by getting others involved.

 

5. Add a little guilt.

A little guilt can go a long way for behavior change, in that people will feel compelled to participate when the challenge is for a good cause, and when they can see through the ubiquitous online videos that others they like and admire are participating, too.

 

6. Use appealing role models.

Having celebrities, close friends, and business associates act as models for the challenge improves the chances that others will do it, too. Observation learning theory basically states, "If person X will do it, then I want to do it, too." In many ways, then, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has employed the same psychological principles as the old chain letter approach familiar to many of us of a certain age. Social media offers a more modern, high-tech take on the method for getting people to engage in behaviors that you desire.

So, go ahead: Dump ice water on your head and ask your friends, relatives, and co-workers to do the same! Have fun with it. Whatever you can do to help a worthy organization make life better for others is a good deal.

Just realize that psychological theories and strategies are being well utilized to push this phenomenon—in ways that are completely expected.

The traditional mission of our public schools has been to prepare our nation's young people for equal and responsible citizenship and productive adulthood.

Today, we reaffirm that mission by remembering that democratic citizenship and productive adulthood begin with standards of conduct and standards for achievement in our schools.

Other education reforms may work; high standards of conduct and achievement do work-and nothing else can work without them.

Recognizing that rights carry responsibilities, we declare that:

1. All students and school staff have a right to schools that are safe, orderly and drug free.

2. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in school districts and schools that have clear discipline codes with fair and consistently enforced consequences for misbehavior.

3. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in school districts that have alternative educational placements for violent or chronically disruptive students.

4. All students and school staff have a right to be treated with courtesy and respect.

5. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in school districts, schools and classrooms that have clearly stated and rigorous academic standards.
 

6. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in well-equipped schools that have the instructional materials needed to carry out a rigorous academic program.
 

7. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in schools where teachers know their subject matter and how to teach it.
 

8. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in school districts, schools, and classrooms where high grades stand for high achievement and promotion is earned.

9. All students and school staff have a right to learn and work in school districts and schools where getting a high school diploma means having the knowledge and skills essential for college or a good job.

10. All students and school staff have a right to be supported by parents, the community, public officials and business in their efforts  to uphold high standards of conduct and achievement.
